JWC ANTI-DISCRIMINATION STATEMENT                           August 5, 2025

Jaffrey Woman’s Club is committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment for all individuals. We believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every person and strive to ensure that all our programs, services, employment practices, volunteer opportunities, and community engagements reflect these values. Our goal is to foster a culture where everyone feels valued, seen, and supported.

WHISTLEBLOWER STATEMENT                                             August 5, 2025

Jaffrey Woman’s Club aims for high ethical standards, transparency, and accountability. We encourage reporting of suspected wrongdoing without fear of retaliation. This applies to all board members and club members, and covers concerns like violations of laws, fraudulent conduct, and violations of organizational policies.

Reports can be verbal or written and should include details about the suspected wrongdoing, including who is involved, when and where it occurred, and any relevant evidence. Individuals are encouraged to first report concerns to an Organizational Ombuds, but can also report to the President or any Board Member.

Retaliation against those who report concerns in good faith is strictly prohibited. Good faith means having a reasonable belief that the information indicates a violation. Examples of retaliation include membership termination or suspension, harassment, or other adverse actions. Individuals who retaliate will face disciplinary action up to termination.

Reports will be kept confidential as much as possible, consistent with investigation needs and legal requirements. Efforts will be made to protect the whistleblower's identity unless necessary for the investigation.

All reports will be promptly and impartially investigated to gather information, interview parties, assess validity, and determine appropriate action.

If a violation is confirmed, appropriate corrective action will be taken, which may include disciplinary measures, removal from office if a board member, or improvements to policies.

Individuals must have reasonable grounds for believing the information indicates a violation. Knowingly false or malicious reports will be treated as a serious disciplinary offense.

This policy will be distributed to all members in the annual membership yearbook and is included in board member orientation and training. The policy will be reviewed periodically for effectiveness and compliance.
